This 5500 lb. 19-foot automobile owns the road - guaranteed to turn heads. This was the first car to be air-conditioned with Freon. The Frigidaire evaporator unit is mounted in the trunk where two large fan motors direct the cooled air through plastic tubes in the rear window shelf and distributes the air through overhead adjusters. The large compressor and condenser are up front, under the hood. The Fleetwood is the top-of-the-line sedan for Cadillac. You could buy four basic Chevys or Fords for the same price as a well-equipped Fleetwood. This car features the 331 cu. in. 210 horsepower overhead cam V-8 engine, 4-speed Hydramatic Transmission, optional Kelsey-Hayes Wire Wheels and wide whitewall tires, Factory Air Conditioning, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Windows*, Wonderbar Radio, Tinted Glass, and was reupholstered with the original material Cadillac "Crown and V" logo cloth. The mileage is 00008. Also, the speedometer cable is not connected. I've owned this car for four years and have driven about 100 miles. I drove it to maybe five car shows, all of which were less than 3 miles from the garage space. The car has won awards at car shows. The car was bought new as an oil company executive car. It came to Houston around 1980.The car has been lovingly maintained and garage stored. So, what's wrong with it? Very little. There is an intermittent starter motor hang up (this problem popped up about four months ago) that sometimes requires several attempts to start, but it does start and runs smoothly. It is started weekly and driven a short distance at least monthly. The battery is on a trickle charger. The body and chrome are in very good condition. The paint is worn in several spots and the chrome is beginning to show wear. None of these things were important to me when I bought the car. I wanted an old Cadillac that I could drive around and spend time working on it. The generator was replaced with an alternator (for dependability) before I got the car.*The hydro-electric windows are being replaced with electric power windows. The drivers' window is finished and the other three kits are included with the sale. Or, you can revert it back to all hydro-electric.This Cadillac was tuned up a year ago. It has a new carburetor and ignition parts and brakes were rebuilt. The air conditioning was repaired as well. This car is a "jaw dropper" everywhere I take it. Most people have never even seen a 1953 Fleetwood. This Cadillac will make a good daily driver or a great candidate for total restoration. This body style was used from 1950 through 1953 and this is the ultimate expression of the early fifties Cadillacs -the 1953 Fleetwood Series 60S.This transaction must be cash or direct bank-to-bank transfer. The transaction is complete when the funds are received. Interested party should arrange a viewing of this beautiful Cadillac. Additional photos are available.

Original wire wheel covers. Uses no oil, (has minor oil leak), probably need tune-up from not being driven much. This car is very impressive, gets comments every time it's driven.
